Working out as a mom is…complicated. Some days I feel like I’m crushing it; other days, I’m “working out” by carrying a toddler on one hip while folding laundry with the other hand. (Does that count as strength training? I think yes.)
The thing is, I want to move my body and feel good, but it’s hard to find the time or energy when life is already packed. That’s where YouTube workout channels have been an absolute lifesaver for me. Over the years, I’ve found a few gems that make working out not just manageable, but actually enjoyable.
If you’re a busy mom looking for workouts that are fun, quick, and don’t require ton of space or equipment, here are my favorites.
1. Grow With Jo
Jo is my girl. Her walking workouts are exactly what I need on days when I’m running low on energy but still want to move. She’s so positive and encouraging—it honestly feels like working out with a friend. Her videos are perfect for moms because they’re low impact (great if you’ve got little ones running around) and set to fun music that keeps you going. (My daughter loves joining in for the dance-y parts!)
2. MadFit
Maddie’s channel is amazing for quick workouts that actually make you feel like you’ve accomplished something. I love her dancing party cardio routines when I need a mood boost, and her standing ab workouts are a mom dream-no floor work required! Her apartment-friendly options are also great because I’m not about to wake the entire house with jumping jacks.
3. Yoga with Adriene
Adriene has been my go-to for years. Her yoga sessions are so calming and perfect for resetting when mom life feels overwhelming (which is…often). Whether I need to stretch, breathe, or just have 10 minutes to myself, she’s got a video for it. And honestly, her “Yoga for Stress” series is a game-changer when life gets to be too much.
4. BodyFit by Amy
Amy’s channel is specifically designed for busy moms, which is why I love her so much. She’s all about realistic, no-pressure workouts that meet you where you’re at. Whether you’re pregnant, postpartum, or just trying to fit in a quick sweat, she’s got you covered. I really appreciate how she keeps things simple while still making you feel strong.
5. Sydney Cummings
When I’m feeling ambitious (rare, but it happens), Sydney workouts are my go-to. She’s super motivating and makes you feel like you can do anything, even if you have to pause a few times to deal with a snack emergency. Her workouts are great for building strength and endurance, and I love that she encourages you to modify as needed—because lets be real, some days are harder than others.
How I Make It Work as a Mom
Let’s be honest: working out with kids around is an adventure. I usually sneak in a quick session during nap time or right after bedtime. On weekends, I’ll turn something like Grow With Jo and let my daughter “dance” with me—it can be a bit crazy, but it works!
The best part about these channels is how flexible they are. Whether you have 10 minutes or 30, there’s always something that fits into my day. Plus, they’re all run by women who understand what it’s like to juggle everything and still try to make time for yourself.
If you’ve been struggling to find workouts that actually work for your life, give these a try, They’ve helped me feel stronger, more energized, and (honestly) more like myself, Let me know if you end up trying any of these or if you have a favorite I should add to my list!
